GateKey Medical

Labor Pain Relief

GateKey Medical develops adaptive, physiology-based pain relief solution for childbirth, aiming to enhance maternal well-being and improve operational efficiency for healthcare providers.

Our Mission

Childbirth is often accompanied by significant pain, with over half of women in the United States and Israel opting for epidural anesthesia. This method necessitates the presence of an anesthesiologist and may result in side effects such as tremors, nausea, and extended labor duration. Current pain relief approaches lack customization for the various stages of labor, leading to suboptimal pain management. There is an increasing demand for safer, more adaptive pain relief solutions. GateKey presents a targeted, safe, and efficient alternative.

GateKey is currently at the pre-seed stage and actively raising funds to bring this solution to market.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common inquiries

GateKey is an innovative, non-invasive medical device designed to alleviate labor pain through modular, AI-regulated vibrations. It is safe for both mother and child and adapts to each stage of labor.

GateKey employs multifocal vibrations applied to specific body areas to stimulate physiological responses and mitigate pain. An AI algorithm controls the device, learning and adapting to the user’s pain dynamics in real-time.

Yes. GateKey is made of biocompatible, hypoallergenic, sterile, and disposable medical silicone. It aligns with regulatory standards for Class I medical devices.

No. GateKey is designed for self-administration during the early stages of labor without the need for continuous medical supervision, making it suitable for both clinical and home environments.

GateKey is expected to qualify as a Class I device (like TENS units), which means it can be self-declared with the FDA and doesn’t require premarket clinical trials. However, trials are planned for development and commercialization purposes.

Initial marketing will focus on the UK and Israel through online channels and partnerships with maternity wards, doulas, and midwives.

Unlike epidural anesthesia, which can delay labor and cause side effects, GateKey is natural, non-invasive, adaptable, and empowers women by giving them active control over their pain relief.
